The Laboratory of Wireless Infrastructure and Network Security was established by Prof M. Chuah. The mission is to explore state-of-art techniques for designing emerging mobile data systems and future heterogeneous networks. We focus on the architectural and protocol design for such data systems and networks. Examples of our work include designing secure content centric mobile networks, disruption tolerant networks, smartgrid control network. In addition, we explore network security related research topics e.g. designing mitigation schemes against DDoS attacks, botnet and social spammer detection schemes. Furthermore, we also work on designing future robust mobile healthcare systems. We develop useful Android-based mobile applications targeting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We also design user verification schemes that utilize users' physcial and social traits for mobile healthcare systems.
